If either of your big-toe(s) experiences pain and inflammation or when you feel your big-toe requiring some pressure to relieve pain and inflammation, then wearing these socks/hose may help you. What Causes Hallux Valgus? It occurs when the joint at the base of the big-toe may be dislocated, causing the toe to move towards the center of the body, forcing other toes the inability to stretch and even causing hammer toes. Symptoms include pain and inflammation when wearing tight shoes, swelling around the big-toe joints, difficulty walking; Leaving untreated will cause body imbalances and affect overall health. Prevention and Correction? To correct or prevent such problems, it is essential to:
1)wear specially designed elastic pressure toe socks/hose, using its high pressure strength at its appropriate places to correct and prevent the pain and inflammation. The aim is to hold the joint in place to prevent the big-toe from moving outward or loosing its positioning any further;
2)stretch the toes carefully without unnecessary force so as to prevent abnormal friction, squirming and curl in the toes;
3)wear light and comfortable shoes to ease difficulty when wearing shoes so as to prevent weariness and pain when walking; and finally
4)maintain body balance at all times to prevent inappropriate striding posture which may harm your overall body structure as you age. Please consult a doctor for further detailed information regarding this matter.
With Deparee's Toe Balance Corrective Socks/hose, the sock/hose is to be worn over the big-toe and the pinky-toe, using elastic strength to support and maintain the position of the big-toe. Keep in mind that the sock is worn up to the arch of your foot because your toe joints do actually extend so far and are affected from within as you walk. Wearing the sock from the arch to the tip of the toes will support your entire toe movement more completely.
